Lace Series

I'm drawn to lace for its feminine and tactile qualities. My 'Lace series' explores this versatile medium by combining it with various materials like porcelain, metals, and beads. I mimic embroidery using nylon thread and beads, creating exaggerated embellishments. By imprinting lace onto metal or extruding clay through it, I transform its soft patterns into new textures resembling snakeskin or sea anemones. My brooches juxtapose these contrasting materials and textures, creating dynamic pieces that spark conversation.
